From October 31 to November 4, we held the first teacher training course within the STEMAction for the future project. It took place in the town of Alanya, in the south east of Turkey, where our partners at the Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) welcomed us very kindly. In the training carried out, teachers from the different partner countries have had the opportunity to train in STEAM education models, historical framework and evolution of STEAM, STEAM integrated learning, STEAM tools in the 21st century, STEAM designs based on nature, STEAM outdoors, etc. All taught by ALKU professors, experts on the subject. In addition, we have developed the practical part, implementing STEAM units to develop in the classroom and we have shared our experiences and enjoyed this new learning methodology.

SUBOTICA C2

Teacher Training Course in STEAM Education on environmental issues and the fight against climate change in Subotica, Serbia.

The second teacher training course of the STEMAction for the future project took place in the city of Subotica, northern Serbia. Our hosts and partners from the NGO Zeleni Subotice have developed a STEAM training program in different areas, such as nature, music, graphic art and of course caring for the environment. Additionally, this organization has volunteers who are children's special education professionals, so they have trained us on how to bring STEAM to these classrooms. We have also had the opportunity to learn about part of their heritage and culture. It has been a very rewarding and complete experience.
